Internet Computer (ICP)

The ICP was created by a non-profit research organization called DFINITY Foundation in Zurich, Switzerland; it is a decentralized blockchain project. Dominic Williams, an entrepreneur and crypto theorist, launched DFINITY in October 2016.

The Internet Computer is positioned as the third phase in blockchain development by developers. The first step was the creation of Bitcoin, the first cryptocurrency. The second was Ethereum, which pioneered the use of smart contracts. The Internet Computer is meant to symbolize the third phase, “limitless blockchain.”

The network is known amongst the masses for creating a simple environment for enabling intelligent contracts while also allowing them to function at Internet-like speeds. Moreover, ICP provides excellent scalability and cost savings, making it ideal for developing mass media services, decentralized banking systems, and other applications.

One of the Internet Computer’s primary aims is to compete with the vast IT companies. We all know that most hosting services are owned by large companies, like Amazon Web Services and Google. These companies can selectively restrict services and modify the rules of operation and platform settings at any time without prior warning to users or businesses. This is why the developers may use The Internet Computer to build their websites, corporate IT systems, and Internet services by putting their code directly on the public Internet; this would eliminate any need for servers or commercial cloud services.

Audius (AUDIO)

Audius is a blockchain project that aims to disrupt the $43 billion music industry. The platform’s goal is to give artists the power to market and make money from their music. Besides, artists make only about 12% of the $43 billion in global revenue.

Audius is made of of several key parts, including a token known as AUDIO and a decentralized storage platform for storing and distributing content. It also has a unique discovery platform and a decentralized governance protocol. The AUDIO token has three features, including security, feature access, and a decentralized governance protocol.

Therefore, the Audius price more than doubled today after TikTok announced that it will partner with the project in a bid to increase artists earnings. This is a notable thing considering that TikTok is the second-biggest social media platform after Facebook. Most of its users incorporate music in their creations. The two firms will create TikTok Sounds.

This makes Audius the next big thing considering that other companies could partner with the company. Also, there is a possibility that TikTok could buy the platform.
